ABOUT ME

I am a graduating student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland specialising in Scenic Construction. 

My interests lie mainly in building sets for theatre, film and T.V. I have been a part of the set build of many productions in the Conservatoire as well as working for various other companies outwith, information of productions I have been involved in can be found on my C.V. and more detailed information of the various pieces I have made over the years can be found in my Workshop photos.

  • The Citzen’s Theatre, Glasgow - 2009 - Romeo and Juliet (Sound Technician)

  • The Citzen’s Theatre, Glasgow - 2009 - Men Should Weep (Assistant Stage Manger)

 

The Tron Theatre, Glasgow - 2008-2009

Previous Experience (at Reid Kerr College)

As a Scenic Carpenter I have a wide skill range-
 

  • I have good problem solving skills.

  • I am proficient at using electrical and manual tools.

  • Work well in groups as well as alone.

  • Am able to read and understand complex technical drawings and specifications, from CAD, Vectorworks and on paper

  • Am able to produce technical drawings on paper and in my 3rd year will be learning to use Vectorworks

  • I have been involved in many fit ups and get outs, and this had made me used to working under pressure and for long hours

  • As well as studying for a BA in Production Arts and Design I also obtain a HNC award in Technical and Production theatre from Reid Kerr College
